Im Vergleich zur Standard-GaAs auf GaAs-Technologie erzielen diese Strahler eine mehr als 100 %ige Verbesserung der Strahlungsleistung bei eine ähnliche Wellenlänge. Die Durchlassspannungen bei kleinem Strom und bei hohem Pulsstrom entsprechen in etwa den niedrigen Werten der Standardtechnik. Diese Strahler eignen sich ideal als leistungsstarker Ersatz für Standardstrahler. Aufgrund der Hochtemperaturleistung und -stabilität sind diese IR-LEDs auf dem LED-Markt beliebt.
